The video for this song was particularly fun to create. Similar to the way the covers for all the singles to date have been generated, the images and animations are all created by code running on top of a Pytorch implementation of BigGAN. The process was inspired in part by the approaches of Artbreeder.com and also borrows chunks from Matt Siegelman's open-source Deep Music Visualizer code, though we experimented with building out new ways to direct the system's output as well as evolve the imagery throughout the song in a variety of ways (and generated about 250 full videos for the song in the process).
